Kinesiology Principles |
Kinesiology Kinesiology is quite closely related to chiropractic. Chiropractic has been summarised well by The British Chiropractic Association as follows: Chiropractic is a primary health-care profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that are due to mechanical dysfunction of the joints, particularly those of the spine, and their effects on the nervous system. Chiropractors treat problems with joints, bones and muscles, and the effects they have on adjustment to the nervous system. Working on all the joints of the body, concentrating adjustments particularly on the spine, they use their hands to make often gentle, specific adjustments (the chiropractic word for manipulation) to improve the efficiency of the nervous system and release the body's natural healing ability. Chiropractic does not involve the use of any drugs or surgery. History of Systematic Kinesiology The fundamentals of Systematic Kinesiology or SK were discovered in the 60's by an eminent chiropractor called George Goodheart and has been developed and extensively researched ever since, showing itself to be possibly the most effective method for treating and then preventing, a wide range of health issues. Systematic Kinesiology is becoming justifiably more and more popular, as public understanding of its methods and results are growing exponentially. It has been featured on national and local radio and tv, by people that have been stunned by the differences that systematic kinesiology has made to their lives. Using Kinesiology we ask the body questions and get clear answers through gentle non-invasive procedures. When imbalances are detected, we will treat your body holistically. Imbalances are corrected using one more treatments such as: Listening to you, Acupressure and massage, Nutritional supplements, gentle exercises, flower remedies, Naturopathic or Homeopathic remedies and many others depending upon your individual needs. This approach to healing means that the benefits are long lasting and repeat treatments are kept to a minimum. How it Maybe Works Our bodies communicate with us every minute of every day in some way or another, we call this communication the senses, smell, vision, touch etc the senses that help us navigate through this world.. On another level our thought processes communicate to us the workings of our brains, while the senses of pain or discomfort often tell us that there is something wrong with our bodies or our lives, or both. Just suppose for a moment that there was another level of communication than the ones already mentioned. That your body had another language, a language that allowed you to ask it questions and get 'yes/no'answers.... Think of the questions you could ask... Is this food doing me any good? Is there an imbalance in my body that could eventually lead to health problems if not resolved? Why is my body hurting and what can we do about it? The amazing discovery that is Systematic Kinesiology is, that the body does have this language, and it can communicate very clearly with us in it, if we understand that language. By harnessing the power of systematic kinesiology and communicating directly with your body it is possible to create huge positive change. Simply put, the discovery of SK appears to take the guesswork out of complementary healthare. How can it do that?
